Ryan Rogers

Ryan Rogers is a Yakima native and a graduate of Eisenhower High School.

After high school Ryan joined the United States Air Force where he was stationed at what is now Joint Base Andrews in Maryland and Fairchild AFB, WA.

He also served on deployments to Qatar and Diego Garcia.

After his military service Ryan came home to Yakima and enrolled at Yakima Valley College and later transferred to Central Washington University.

At Central he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications: Digital Journalism.

While a CWU student Ryan covered news and sports in the Kittitas Valley.

Ryan joined KIMA in 2014 while attending Central and has helped sports director Alan Sillence with Friday Night Fever and other local sporting events over the last few years.

Ryan also fills in for sports and co-anchors with Alan on Friday Night Fever.

While not covering news or sports Ryan enjoys movies, listening to music on his headphones, watching true crime shows and binge watching Unsolved Mysteries.

Ryan also plays amateur baseball in the summertime.
