Dave Furtado

Simply put, I'm just a kid from Maine.

I love the outdoors and trying new things, getting outside my comfort zone. I love to be active: run, hike, and play sports. I also get leisure time in: books, television, video games. I'm energetic, spontaneous, and basically still a kid. Just in my 20s.

I graduated in 2017 from the New England school of communication at Husson University in Bangor, Maine. Being from the Pine Tree State, I jive with small town vibes, but I'm excited to see what the city life is all about.

After graduation I headed west to Casper, Wyoming to be a reporter, eventually becoming the weekend anchor. From there it was a jaunt south to Amarillo, Texas where I've reported on anything from the Jeep Jamboree to catching sod poodles (prairie dogs) to active shooter situations.

I love news, it's my passion and I look forward to sharing the stories from the Tri-City area.
