Zillah Student Scores Heartwarming Touchdown

ZILLAH, Wa - The Zillah Leopards dominated the Cle Elum Warriors in a 66-0 win on Friday night. But the Leopards most rewarding touchdown of the night never showed up on the scoreboard and regardless of which team you were cheering for, it went straight to everyone's heart.

Erik Moore has been an important part of the Zillah football program since his freshman year. Now a senior and a bright student, he isn't going to let Cerebral Palsy stand in the way of his passion, football.

Erik is a fixture on the sidelines at every game and is an inspiration to his team and his community.

"He's a great kid," Zillah Athletic Director Rock Winters said. "One of our assistant coaches, Matt Brown, has taken special interest in Erik, really helped him along and he's really pushed to make this a very special thing for Erik. In fact, everybody has, the team loves him. The senior group treat him just oustanding and he's just great to be around and have help the team."

With the Zillah crowd roaring with approval, Erik got his opportunity to shine under the Friday Night Lights. An outstanding tribute to an outstanding young man.

Also, a special thanks to Cle Elum High School for allowing Erik to have this very special moment on Friday night.
