TOPPENISH, Wash. -- Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC) hosted its free annual health fair Saturday for families to access community health and medical resources all in one place.
This year's carnival-themed fair featured several booths sharing the services of the Toppenish Medical-Dental Clinic. There were also more than 20 independent vendors including Yakima Housing Authority, People for People, and WorkSource.
"I really think that this event is awesome because it gives people the empowerment to really find resources in the community that's really close and that can really benefit everybody in the family and anybody in the community," said resident Diane Sekaquaptewa, who was at the health fair with her two young children.
Kids received free immunizations and sports physicals for $10. Various games, prizes, and health food giveaways were available as well.
