Yakima teen turns himself in

YAKIMA, Wash. - Police say a Yakima teen turned himself in, but didn't realize he would be charged with murder.

Police said 17-year-old Pedro Solis knew there was a warrant out for his arrest for something, so he walked into the Juvenile Detention Center and turned himself in.

He is accused of taking part in a drive-by shooting that killed Emilio Phelan while he was riding his bike back in May.

Police said they have another suspect in custody, 19-year-old Jeremiah Peralez.

Peralez was already in jail, charged with assault in a non-fatal drive-by shooting.

Solis appeared in court today and is charged with first degree murder.

His bail is set at $1,000,000.
