Yakima School District looking for panelists for new Superintendent position
YAKIMA Wa. -- The Yakima School District wants your opinion for the new Superintendent position.
The district is seeking members to be part of the Superintendent Search Advisory Panel for preliminary interviews.
President of Yakima School Board Martha Rice says they want to involve the community so that they can have a voice in their children’s education.
“We are only care takers for the district and it’s important that the stakeholders, community be able to weigh in on what they would like to have in their new superintendent," said Rice.
The preliminary interviews will take place February 19th and 21st.
Anyone applying to be part of the panel needs to be able to make it to both interviews.
Applications for panelists are due by January 15th at four in the afternoon.
