Yakima salon suing city for sewage leak
YAKIMA, Wash. - A Yakima salon owner is suing the city on complaints of a sewage leak at his business.
The owner of On the Boulevard salon said the business suffered a sewage backup leak back in November of 2016. According to documents, the sewage posted significant hazards, including fecal contamination, to the styling salon.
The lawsuit states the salon's owner had contacted Absolute Drain and Septic Inc. to fix the leak, and while a plumber was trying to repair it, the line spilled sewage inside the salon.
The owner is suing the city of Yakima for not keeping the sewer line clean for his business, located at 3409 W. Nob Hill Blvd. He is also suing the plumbing business for damages caused by the spill.
