Yakima police investigating Saturday drive-by shooting that injured woman
YAKIMA, Wash. - Police say a woman has been released from the hospital after she was hurt in a drive-by shooting during a birthday party.
Police told Action News a 24-year-old woman was shot in the wrist while attending the party at a home on the 500 block of N. 6th Avenue, Saturday night.
The homeowner then fired back at the car. Investigators said the homeowner may have gang ties and doesn't know why he was targeted.
The victim was treated at a local hospital and has since been released, police said.
Police believe this shooting to be gang-related.
Police say they do not have any suspects in this shooting and continue to investigate this case.
