Yakima market robbed at gunpoint Saturday; police arrest suspect
YAKIMA, Wash. - [UPDATE, Oct. 2] Police say they have arrested a man as a suspect in the armed robbery at a Yakima market.
Police are asking for help in identifying a man they say robbed a Yakima market at gunpoint.
The Yakima Police Department said a man went into the Hy's Mini Mart located at 1219 W Lincoln Ave. around 3 p.m., Saturday while armed with a gun. According to reports, the man pointed the gun at the store clerk and a few of the customers.
Police said the man got away with an unknown amount of money.
Authorities are now asking for information on the robber's identity. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the man involved is asked to call 911.
