Yakima Central Library to host Brickstravaganza event

YAKIMA, Wash. -- If you or your kids are Lego fans, you might want to head over to the Yakima Central Library this Saturday.

The Library will be hosting their Brickstravaganza event at 2 in the afternoon where they will have Lego – themed crafts, activities and Lego robot demonstration.

Programming and Marketing Librarian, Krystal Corbray says they are putting this event together because research has shown that playing with Lego’s helps kids learn about math, spatial reasoning and problem solving.

She says Lego’s can also help kids build or improve literacy skills, since they need to read and understand printed instructions.

The event is free to the public so all are welcome to attend.
