Mt. Rainier National Park makes entry adjustments for winter
WASHINGTON -- Mount Rainier National Park officials want to remind visitors of changes for accessing the park during the winter season.
All vehicles going through the park must have tire chains until May 1.
The Paradise snowplay area hasn’t opened yet, so no sledding or sliding is allowed.
The road from Longmire to Paradise will be open only from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Several other roads have been closed for the season, including Mowich Lake Road; Paradise Valley Road; Stevens Canyon Road; Sunrise Road; Westside Road; and White River Road.
Daily road opening and closing updates for the park can be found here.
