TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- Since snow started falling on Monday, Troopers have worked hundreds of crashes in harms way.

According to Trooper Chris Thorson of Washington State Patrol, troopers have responded to 346 crashes from Walla Walla to Yakima.

Authorities say two of those crashes were deadly.

On Monday night, a 7-year-old girl from Moses Lake died when the truck she was riding in flipped over.

That crash happened on 395 in Franklin County.

Two trooper patrol units were struck during the last two days.

Authorities say one trooper received minor injuries as a result of the crash.

    Another trooper was not hurt.

Authorities say the overwhelming majority of crashes occurred because drivers were going too fast for conditions.

With below-freezing temperatures predicted Tuesday night, officials want motorists to slow down and be careful.
