Educator in Toppenish honored as a top leadership speaker
TOPPENISH, Wash. - A local educator is gaining recognition for his profound talent in speaking and communication.
Author Kevin Kruse named Dr. Matt Kincaid, of Heritage University, one of the top 100 Leadership Speakers for 2018 for Inc. Magazine.
Kruse chose speakers based on the uniqueness of their ideas and their ability to present them in a compelling way, according to a news release from Heritage University.
Kincaid is an associate professor at the Toppenish school and author of Permission to Speak Freely: How the Best Leaders Cultivate a Culture of Candor, which he co-wrote with Doug Crandall on the power of open and direct communication.
Kruse gave the book a five-star review on Amazon, according to press.
Heritage University leaders said Kincaid was also noted for his involvement with the Heritage Enactus, a student organization that helps students prepare for speaking appearances at competitions. He's also the managing partner of Blue Rudder, a leadership development consulting firm.
“It’s an honor, definitely, but I’ve been really lucky to have worked closely with some amazing leaders who are incredible teachers and presenters. Their examples and guidance have helped me a ton," Kincaid said in a statement.
