Swarm of earthquakes hits Yakima
YAKIMA -- The city of Yakima is in the midst of an earthquake swarm.
At least nine small quakes have happened in the area of north Yakima since 2 a.m. Friday morning.
USGS seismic detectors show the largest quake was only a magnitude 2.5. That could potentially be large enough for someone to feel, but not large enough to cause any damage.
Scientists with the USGS based out of Seattle say there is nothing for anyone to worried about and that these swarms of earthquakes aren't rare for parts of Eastern Washington.
The USGS tells KIMA the swarm could potentially continue for days, or even longer.
