Stage one burn ban issued until further notice
YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.- A stage one burn ban will be in effect at 5 p.m. Saturday for Yakima County due to a build-up of air pollutants.
This means uncertified wood stoves, fireplaces, inserts and other uncertified solid fuel burning devices are banned until further notice.
Certified wood stoves, pellet stoves and other certified wood-burning devices is allowed.
All violations of the burn ban are subject to civil penalty.
It's not yet decided when this burn ban will be lifted.
