Selah Police Department opens applications for Citizens Academy

SELAH Wash. -- If you want to learn about police work, the criminal justice system and other departments in the city of Selah, you can do so by signing up to their Citizens Academy.

The Selah Police Department is once again accepting applications for the Academy and this time they are including younger applicants, 16 years or older.

According to a press release, the classes will include topics such as patrol procedures, weapons, investigations, K-9, gang and much more.

The classes will start on February 5 and will run until April 23.

The classes will meet every Monday evening from 6 to 8 in the evening at the Selah Police Department training room.

People have until January 26th to turn in their applications.
