Recycling center in Yakima to close for nearly one month
YAKIMA, Wash. - A popular recycling center in Yakima is temporarily closing.
The center at Wesley United Methodist Church will close from July 23 until August 17 while the parking lot is repaved, according to a news release.
Volunteer recyclers with the church want to thank the community for their efforts to recycle responsibly.
Folks can continue to drop off their recyclables at the following locations.
- Central Washington Recycling, 102 N. 2nd Ave.
- Union Gospel Mission, 1300 N. 1st St.
- Terrace Heights Landfill, 7151 Roza Hill Dr.
Those living in Yakima can also sign up for curbside recycling from Yakima Waste Systems by calling 509-248-4213.
