Police searching for man who robbed a Sunnyside bank
SUNNYSIDE, Wash. - Detectives are looking for the robber who demanded money from a Yakima Federal Savings.
A man went to the Yakima Federal at 801 E Edison Avenue in Sunnyside just before 4 p.m. Tuesday when he demanded money from one of the tellers, according to Sunnyside police reports.
Investigators said the teller handed over an unknown amount of cash and the robber left the building with the money. Surveillance footage shows him leaving in a dark-colored sedan, police said.
The man did not show a weapon in the incident.
The robber is described as a white man or a light skinned Hispanic man in his early to mid 30s. He is 5'3 to 5'5 and weighs roughly 130 pounds.
At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark-colored zip up hoodie and a baseball cap with a flat bill, dark jeans and a white dusk mask, according to reports.
