Police say they stopped a robber with a police car
YAKIMA, Wash. - Police say they stopped a robber and car thief on Sunday, who claimed he was on his way to meet up with his famous wives.
Police said 33-year-old Roberto Ontiveros first stole a car from Don's Auto in Union Gap January 5. Then Sunday police said they got a call of a robbery happening at gas station Roadrunner Arco.
When officers got there, they said Ontiveros took off in the stolen car until one of the police rammed him.
YPD said Ontiveros took off on foot in the Home Depot parking lot, but didn't get far before police caught him.
Police said while he was being arrested Ontiveros said he stole the car to drive to Arizona to meet up with his wives Danica Patrick and J. Lo.
Police said the police car was damaged and minor injuries were reported for the officer and suspect.
Ontiveros is being charged with second degree robbery, theft of a vehicle and eluding.
