Police: Man walks into Toppenish police station with gunshot wound
TOPPENISH, Wash. - The Toppenish Police Department say a man walked into the police station Monday morning with a gunshot wound to the chest.
According to police, the victim is a 31-year-old who told officers he was shot while riding his bike. The man told police it happened at 2:30 in the morning, just one block from the police station in the 200 block of West 1st Avenue.
Police say the victim was initially taken to Virginia Mason Memorial but due to the severity of his injuries was transferred to Harborview Medical Center.
Police say they are looking for a man who is possible native man with long hair driving a dark colored 90's model jeep.
