Police: Man in jail for swinging samurai swords at three people
YAKIMA, Wash.- A man is facing assault charges after police said he swung a samurai sword at people in Yakima.
Police said 26-year-old Tariq Muhammad swung his sword at three different people near the 5200 block of Chestnut Avenue at 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
Police said the sword was about three feet in length, but he didn't end up striking anyone with it.
Muhammad's bail was set at $75,000.
