Police: Mail-stealing suspects caught while using a stolen car
YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. - Deputies have arrested two alleged mail thieves after mail was reported stolen from various places in the county.
Yakima police reports said deputies found two women using a stolen car in the Gleed area on the morning of December 14. The car owner had reportedly left their car running while unattended to warm up the inside, when the suspects drove away with it.
Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies arrested the suspects, ages 22 and 26, for stealing mail from dozens of homes, mostly in Yakima County.
Deputies also arrested a man and a woman earlier in the same week for breaking into several mailboxes in Yakima and Naches, totaling four arrests in mail theft cases in one week.
