Police looking for shooting suspect in Valley Mall killing
UNION GAP, Wash. - Police say they are looking for a suspect who shot and killed a 21-year-old man at the Valley Mall parking lot, Friday night.
The Union Gap Police Department released a photo of 18-year-old Luis Coronado-Vazquez, who is the suspected shooter in this incident.
Police said Vazquez is wanted for 2nd degree murder and is considered armed and dangerous.
Witnesses said the shooting happened during a verbal fight between the suspect and Efren Cervantes Sanchez, according to police reports. Officers responded and found Sanchez with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Reports said the victim was taken to Yakima Regional hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Surveillance captured video of a vehicle fleeing the scene, described as a red or maroon colored minivan.
Police continue to investigate this shooting.
