One man behind bars after early morning police chase
TOPPENISH, Wash.-- A man is now behind bars after leading multiple law enforcement agencies on a chase early Thursday morning.
According to Toppenish Police, a stolen car from Granger was spotted at a gas station Zillah, Police followed the car into Toppenish city limits, around 2 a.m.
The pursuit lasted several minutes in the area of Rocky Ford Road from North Meyers Road and South on Highway 97.
The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Gabriel "Duke" Lopez-Perez.
Authorities say Lopez-Perez went down a steep hill near Tule Road.
Lopez-Perez then ran from the car on foot, he was taken into custody shortly after.
