Kids take a step-back in time to the Jurassic Period at the Sundome
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Some dinos stomped their way into Yakima, this weekend, as the Jurassic Tour wraps up at the Yakima Valley Sundome.
Kids got to take a step back in time and walk with the dinosaurs.
There were bounce houses, a dino dig, and kids got the chance to ride on life-like prehistoric creatures.
David Eldika with Jurassic Tour says a hands-on experience like this gives kids a better understanding of what life was like way back when.
“Kids learn about dinosaurs, hear about dinosaurs, but never get to see dinosaurs, so they come here, they see all the motions, the roaring, the breathing and also get to do some activities, as well,” said Eldika.
This was Jurassic Tour's first time in Yakima, but Eldika says turnout was great, and they'll be back next year. They're making their way across the nation, with their next stop in Missoula, MT.
