YAKIMA, Wash.- Hundreds turned out for Yakima's annual pride celebration Saturday.
For the first time, Yakima Pride had a parade that went throughout downtown Yakima.
They also had service vendors, keynote speakers and entertainers at Performance Park.
This year Yakima Pride will also become a non-profit organization.
Organizers say their main goal is to fight for equal rights for everyone.
"Love is love and everyone is equal. Everyone has a deserving right for their equal rights. Don't discriminate because you can have those same people deserving equal rights in your own family," said President of Yakima Pride Cristina Ortega.
Yakima pride hosts events year round and are always looking for volunteers.
