Firefighters trying to determine cause of 8,000-acre fire at Yakima Training Center
YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. - Fire crews are trying to figure out what sparked a fire on the Yakima Training Center Thursday night.
Officials said over 30 firefighters responded to the flames that spread over 8,000 acres.
They say no one was injured from the fire and no nearby structures were damaged.
Firefighters say the fire is now contained and the Yakima Training Center is monitoring the area and mopping it up Friday.
They say cause of the fire is still under investigation.
