Fire causes about $60,000 damage to structure near Granger
GRANGER, Wash. —
A structure and all of its contents are a complete loss after a fire took place near Granger early Saturday afternoon.
According to Yakima County Fire District Five, the incident began around 12:50 P.M. on the 1500 of Drainbank Road.
Fire crews arrived to find the back half of the building fully engulfed. They also found outbuildings in flames and a small grass fire burning.
It took crews about an hour to get the fires under control.
The back of the building suffered heavy damage from the fire, with smoke, water and heat damage through the rest of the structure.
Officials estimate the cost of damage to $60,000.
The Red Cross is helping the family with housing, food and clothing.
The Yakama Nation Police Department is investigating.
