SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. -- A crash involving two cars and three semi-trailer trucks snarled traffic Friday afternoon east of Snoqualmie Pass.

One person was taken to a hospital for injuries, and traffic was backed up for several miles on eastbound Interstate 90.

The crash blocked the left lane, and the backup was at 15 miles about 3 p.m. The crashes were adding up to two hours of additional travel time.

Motorists were advised to delay trips over the pass.

The crashes were cleared just before 5 p.m., but significant backups remained.

The Washington State Patrol said what was likely a chain-reaction crash occurred just before noon near mile post 62 on eastbound I-90. Snow has been falling on the pass. Traction tires are advised on Stevens and Snoqualmie passes.
