Bus driver hurt in rollover on I-82
YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. - A bus driver is injured after State Patrol troopers say a commuter bus rolled on I-82 west, eight miles north of Yakima.
Reports from Washington State Patrol (WSP) said Barbara James, 72, of Union Gap was driving a Ford Cutaway commuter bus around 7:15 a.m., Friday when she over-corrected, causing the vehicle to roll on its side in the median at milepost 22.
Troopers said James was injured and medics took her to Yakima Regional Medical Center, as a precaution.
No other injuries were reported in this crash.
Authorities said the driver's speed caused the crash and cited James for driving too fast for conditions.
