Brush fire in Yakima destroys barn and threatens homes
YAKIMA, Wa. -- Investigators are trying to figure out what started a brush fire that destroyed a barn and threatened several homes along Cowiche Canyon Road.
Firefighters responded to the fire at around six in the 600 block of Cowiche Canyon Road.
Firefighters from departments in Yakima, Selah, East and West Valley, Gleed and many more fought the fire.
Fire leaders say it burned around 200 acres and it took about three hours to contain.
No homes were damaged and no one was hurt.
