YAKIMA - A Yakima gas station brought in the 4th of July spirit with a hot dog eating contest.
They also raffled off prizes that included Seahawks tickets and a $250 gas card.
There was a Dj and crowd that showed up to cheer on those who took on the hotdog challenge.
The first place prize was $1,000, second place was $400 and third was $200.
Each contestant started with 20 hotdogs and had to eat as much as they could in 10 minutes.
There was even one person that came from Canada for the contest.
"I drove all the way from Kelowna British Columbia, stopped on the way to birch bay, and on the way here this morning. I haven't done a hot dog eating contest and I haven't done a contest in a long time, so I'm very excited," Scott "Eats" Atkins said.
Watkins ended up coming in first, finishing all his hotdogs at a record breaking 4 minutes and 59 seconds.
All of the untouched hotdogs were given to people at Camp Hope.
