Alex believes that journalism is history’s first rough draft—but she can’t take credit for that line. She loves storytelling in all forms, from fast-paced breaking news to in-depth features.
Alex graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in broadcast journalism, a minor in political science, and an advanced language certificate in Portuguese. She reported for the university’s award-winning newscast, ElevenNews, for two years. During her time there, she interviewed Chelsea Clinton and went to the nation’s capital to do coverage on the 2017 presidential election.
Alex is a Minnesota native, but loves exploring new places like Raleigh, North Carolina, where she interned with WNCN, or Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she lived for a year in college. She is excited to be in the Tri-Cities and can’t wait to explore all it has to offer.
When she’s not working, Alex loves eating cheese, listening to Beyoncé, and thinking of a third thing when she’s listing stuff.
If you have a story that you think should be told—let her know at firstname.lastname@example.org—she’d love to tell it.
