SELAH, Wa - The Selah Vikings rallied from a 21-3 halftime deficit to upset the fifth-ranked Prosser Mustangs 39-36 in double overtime on Thursday night.

Selah's victory along with Othello losing at Ellensburg forces a three team tiebreaker this Saturday afternoon at Grandview High School.

After trailing 21-3 at halftime, the Vikings marched down the field on their opening series of the second half and Tristan McDevitt's touchdown cut Prosser's lead to 21-9 as the Mustangs blocked the extra point attempt.

On the ensuing kickoff the Vikings tried a surprise onside kick but the ball went out of bounds giving Prosser excellent field position.

But, McDevitt came through again this time on defense as he intercepted Tanner Bolt and the long return put Selah in position to score once again.

Andres Garcia's touchdown made it 21-15 and after a defensive stop by the Vikings, Jacob Weber's 36-yard touchdown run followed by the extra point gave Selah its first lead of the night at 22-21.

In the fourth quarter, Dakota Huntley called his own number and scored a touchdown to make it 29-21 as the Vikings scored 26 unanswered points.

But, Prosser came back, on the ensuing drive the Mustangs drove the length of the field and on fourth and goal at the two yard line, Bolt connected with Robert Perez for the touchdown and the two-point conversion tied the game.

After exchanging touchdowns in the first overtime period, Selah got the break they needed with an interception on Prosser's possession in the second overtime leading to the game-winning field goal.

Saturday's tiebreaker will feature Selah and Othello with the winner taking the second seed in the CWAC and would host West Valley (Spokane) in a playoff game on Tuesday night.

The loser of the Selah-Othello tiebreaker will face Prosser for the third and final playoff spot in the CWAC and would travel to Pullman for a playoff game on Tuesday.

Saturday's tiebreaker playoffs in Grandview starts at 3:00 p.m.
