US Bank Contributes to SOZO Project
YAKIMA, Wa - With more soccer fields coming and an indoor facility ready for play by this spring, the SOZO Sports Complex continues to branch out. The complex is currently building on nearly 60 acres of land near the Yakima Airport.
SOZO will double its size within the next few years and more than half of the money in the $13 million dollar project has already been raised.
U.S. Bank recently came through with a $5,000 donation to the SOZO cause.
"It's great for us to be able to do this in our community," Craig Tullis said. "Last year U.S. Bank contributed over 55-million (dollars) to our local community. This is a great way for us to support the program. Really happy to be able to do that."
"We really appreciate it," Kerry Martin said. "Kids really appreciate it. We're excited to spend this money on the sports complex."
SOZO is reaching out to the community for more generous help in 2017.
"We're excited about the opportunity to work with donors and bring another $3 million to the sports complex," Martin said. "So we can keep bringing these fabulous tournaments to our valley."
