Pegasus Project Helps Local Seniors

KIMAThumbnail

YAKIMA, Wa - The Yakima Valley was once a mecca for horse racing, breeding and thoroughbred training.

Those days may be long gone, but they're certainly not forgotten and these fine folks remember the local golden age of the Sport of Kings.

Their gallop may have slowed a pace or two, but residents of Fieldstone Senior Living in Yakima are still loving the Ponies.

The non-profit Pegasus Project, our area's therapeutic riding center, serving both children and adults with special needs taking its cool show on the road now with Pegasus' brand new Pony Pals program.

The plan for Pony Pals is to make weekly visits within our community to those who aren't able to make it to Pegasus.

If the shear enjoyment shown by our wonderful seniors at Fieldstone is any indication, Pony Pals is going to a triple-crown winner.
