Knights Closer to First Ever Postseason Bid

SUNNYSIDE, Wa - Sunnyside Christian has never won its way in to the state high school football playoffs. But, this may be the best Knights team ever and this may be the year they finally make it to the postseason.

After their victory last Friday, the Knights, now in their eighth season of 8-man football improved to 7-0 on the season and 3-0 in conference play.

If Sunnyside Christian runs the table winning their final two games then the Knights, who are sitting in first place in the 1B Southeast standings, will be assured a top seed in the opening round of the state playoffs.

But, the Knights final two games could be their toughest match-ups of the season as this Friday they go on on the road to face second place Pomeroy and next Thursday night they host Garfield-Palouse, who's tied with Pomeroy for second place, to close out the regular season.
