Yakima to consider amending code to further limit temporary signs

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima's code enforcers say they got results from their crackdown on illegal, temporary signs in the city.

Officers visited more than 700 businesses along busy streets this year. More than 1,500 were removed as part of Yakima's cleanup effort.

City Council will now also consider amending the code to put more limits on the size and types of signs.
