Hundreds came to walk the track at Franklin Middle School. Walking to help the fight, and to honor and remember those touched by the disease.
Teams, vendors, and the community came together. There will be a Luminaira ceremony tonight at 9:30. Throughout the day there were speeches and various activities.
People come for many reasons.
"To help support all the other ones that are going through it. When I see the little kids in their survivor shirts that's what gets me, and when you see a survivor shirt that's what it's all about. You're doing it to help them so they can be survivors," said Kerri Seekins, a cancer survivor.
The event goes on for 24 hours, through the night, until noon Sunday.
