Snow removed from disabled parking spot in West Valley plaza

YAKIMA, Wash. -- KIMA received your email about a disabled parking spot filled with snow in a West Valley plaza. KIMA is taking action for you and called the property owners.

KIMA took video on Wednesday of the spot filled with snow. It was being used as storage space when contractors were plowing snow. After calling the owners, KIMA went back Thursday and saw the snow was removed. People said the change makes shopping easier.

"The disabled have numerous challenges in all kinds of things, and to have another one added on is terrible," said Faith Richardson. "To have it done is wonderful."

The property owners aren't done yet. They said they'll move the disabled parking sign one spot over in the next couple of days.
