Students showed off their skills Tuesday and will again on Wednesday.
A federal education grant pays for the event.
Kids and adults can learn interactively. Organizers hope it sparks future careers.
"Before I used to look at like it's just another class," high school student Mireya Osorio said. "But now I realize the importance of engineering and how it does affect us everyday."
The festival will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
