Manastash Ridge fire nearly contained; size revised down to 2,000 acres

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. -- A wildfire in the Manastash Ridge area near Ellensburg is 90% contained.

Our cameras followed helicopters making water drops and the flames on the hillside last night. Crews dug fire lines through the night.

About a hundred firefighters are still on the ground watching the hot spots. They say the fire should be fully contained by the end of Friday.

No homes were damaged. But, power is still out between Badger Pocket and the Yakima River.

It could be at least a week before investigators know what started it.
