Legends Casino begins $90M expansion project

TOPPENISH, Wash. -- Yakama Nation Legends Casino just broke ground on a huge expansion project.

Legends is adding a six-story, 200-room hotel to the casino. There will also be a new spa, conference center, buffet, entrance, gaming floor and more. Additional parking and the expanded gaming floor are planned to be completed first.

The casino expects the expansion to create 200 new jobs.

"It's going to be like a new casino's opening here in a couple years, so the employees are excited, the guests are excited and the Nation is very excited as well," said Kristin Lumley, Legends Casino assistant general manager.

The project is expected to be finished by winter of 2016.
