'Udder mayhem' on Seattle-area highway as cow gets loose

SILVERDALE, Wash. -- Washington State Patrol troopers have a story to milk for all its worth to their fellow workers.

Three to four cows were in a trailer going southbound on Highway 3 near Silverdale, Wash. when the trailer door somehow came ajar, said Trooper Russ Winger.

One of the cows managed to get out of the trailer as the truck continued down the road.

The owner soon realized he was short a cow and with the help of troopers and Good Samaritans, spent 90 minutes herding and wrangling the cow back into the trailer. The cow was not hurt.
