YPD raises money for local Special Olympic athletes

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima police officers spent their Saturday waiting tables at Red Robin. They're raising money for Special Olympic athletes through the annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser.

"They're raising a lot of money and it makes me feel good that they're helping out.," said local Special Olympic athlete Kim Eonahoo.

The Tip-A-Cop event normally brings in about $3,000. The money goes towards covering year-around training, uniforms, and travel expenses for athletes.
