YPD investigating early morning armed robbery at Burger King
TERRACE HEIGHTS, Wash. -- Yakima police are still reviewing surveillance video and looking for two suspects in an armed robbery at Burger King early Thursday morning.
Authorities said two masked men wearing gloves and armed with a handgun entered Burger King located at 1605 Terrace Heights Way at about 3 a.m. as an employee was closing up.
Police said the suspects aggressively ordered the employee to the back of the store at gunpoint where they stole the deposits that were being prepared.
Police said the suspects fit similar physical descriptions as ones in previous robberies in the area. The manner in which the store was robbed was also similar to a recent string of robberies.
"We're going to find these people," said YPD spokesperson Mike Bastinelli. "We're working with all these various different agencies, and I know it's frustrating to the community but we're doing everything we can to find these people. I know the community is outraged; we're outraged when we see the videos."
Police said the suspects ran away from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. They said no one was injured in the incident.
