You can run, but you can't hide from YPD

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A Yakima County inmate who never came back after being let out on a furlough is returning to a jail cell.

Shaun Vanarendonk was sentenced today to six years behind bars.

Vanarendonk's case ended up involving Yakima's police chief.

Dominic Rizzi expressed his concern over letting dangerous inmates out on furlough.

Vanarendonk originally said he was going to a funeral and never came back.

He was sentenced for eluding, escape and possession of a stolen car.
