YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima police said they made more than a dozen arrests from recent DUI patrols. Yakima Police conducted four operations over the last month and nabbed 16 drivers. Officers made eleven DUI arrests last weekend alone. They said they typically make two to three DUI arrests on a normal weekend night. "Those people that are just out going about their business could be hit by an impaired driver causing the holiday season to be one that they remember for the wrong reasons," said Yakima Police Sergeant, Shawn Boyle.
Yakima Police had seven DUI patrols last year and made 35 arrests during the holidays.
