Yakima Valley wine on Thanksgiving weekend

ZILLAH -- When you think Thanksgiving, most of you will probably think of turkey, gravy and stuffing. But, how about Yakima Valley wine?

The Rattlesnake Hills wineries say Thanksgiving weekend is actually one of the busiest times of the year for visitors. Wineries offered tastings, food pairings and plenty of discounts.

One winery we spoke to says this is the last major event of the season and it provided a major boost as we head into winter.

"Sales have been a little down this year, but so far this weekend, we're up just a little bit," says Janet Hutchinson of Hyatt Winery. "Friday we had good sales, and a lot of traffic."

Hyatt says the weather this year will make the 2011 wines a little more difficult to produce. The next major event will be the wine and chocolate event in February.
