Yakima to re-fill crime analyst position

YAKIMA, Wash. -- City council also voted in favor to reestablish a job in the police department some people thought was a waste of money.

YPD has been without a crime analyst since 2011.

Council voted to be re-fill the job again using money saved after four senior officers retire.

At the time, the job paid a hundred-thousand dollars a year.

City council and officers questioned whether it was worth it.

This time the salary would be half what it used to be.
